On December 29, 2023, at 16:50, officers from the Paris Police Department and Paris EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 4000 block of N. Main St. The incident involved a 65-year-old male on a 2018 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. The motorcycle, traveling southbound on N. Main (Hwy 271 North), left the roadway and crashed. The rider sustained serious injuries and was in critical condition.
Emergency responders air-lifted the injured individual to Medical City of Plano. Unfortunately, on January 4, 2024, the 65-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Paris Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team conducted an investigation into the incident. As of now, the police have not released the name of the deceased individual.
