In Paris, a routine traffic stop on Tuesday night led to the arrest of Latavious Daytwon Lane after a Paris Police officer pulled over a vehicle at 9:17 PM in the 700 block of N. Main for defective equipment.
Upon identification, it was discovered that Lane had multiple misdemeanor warrants, prompting officers to take him into custody.
During a search incident to arrest, Lane was found in possession of various prescription drugs without corresponding prescription bottles linking them to him. Additionally, amphetamines, for which he had a prescription, were also discovered.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a small quantity of marijuana beneath Lane's seat.
Police have charged Lane with possession of narcotics and marijuana.
