A disturbance occurred on Thursday evening at 6:36 in the 2100 block of East Cherry Street, Paris, TX. A Paris Officer responded to take an Injury Child/Elderly/Disabled W/Intent Bodily Injury report, which is currently under investigation.
The incident involved a 64-year-old victim, legally blind and suffering from Parkinson's disease. The victim had asked her 17-year-old grandson to remove approximately 15 juveniles he had invited over from the residence. The grandson refused, leading to a dispute. During the altercation, the elderly victim fell backward to the floor, striking the back of her head.
In response to the situation, an emergency protective order was requested and successfully completed. The case is now being investigated by authorities.
