On December 27, 2023, the Rowlett Police Department swiftly responded to a child custody civil issue, leading to a major breakthrough in a broader investigation. The incident resulted in the arrest of an individual, along with the seizure of two firearms, approximately 35 pounds of marijuana, and around 11 grams of fentanyl.
Importantly, the child at the center of the custody matter emerged unharmed and has been safely reunited with their mother. Notably, the suspect involved does not reside in Rowlett.
In the wake of these developments, Rowlett Police are intensifying their efforts by collaborating with Task Force Officers and partnering with federal agencies. This coordinated approach aims to amplify the ongoing investigation, ensuring a thorough examination of the circumstances surrounding the arrest and the recovered contraband.
