Paris Police Detain Two on Christmas Morning Following Stolen Firearm Discovery in Parking Lot

Tadray Kyaderic Wilson

In the early hours of Christmas morning at 2:22, a Paris Police Sergeant on routine patrol in the 2000 block of South Collegiate Drive observed a suspicious vehicle turning its lights on and exiting a parking lot. The vigilant officer then noticed a second vehicle, without any lights on, parked and not running. Adding to the concern, a firearm was discovered on the ground near the vehicle.

Upon the sergeant's call for backup, additional officers arrived to secure the firearm and investigate the situation. Two occupants of the second vehicle were detained for further questioning.

21-year-old Tadray Kyaderic Wilson was taken into custody and is facing charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance related to a THC cartridge. The second occupant was cited for Class C Possession Paraphernalia and released at the scene.

Wilson claimed that the Glock found on the ground did not belong to them, asserting it was already there when they arrived. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that the Glock had been reported as stolen to the Paris Police Department last month.
