In an incident on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 2:22 pm, a Paris officer responded to the 2100 block of East Cherry Street to execute a Felony Theft Warrant on 64-year-old Richard Earl Hill.
Following a conversation with an individual at the location, who claimed Hill was not present but allowed the officer to search the premises,
Hill was discovered hiding in a closet. He was subsequently detained and booked into the Paris Jail for the Lamar County Felony Warrant, charged with Theft of Property of less than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions.
