Paris Police responded to a reported robbery in the 700 block of Graham Street on Friday night at 9:49. The victim, an unharmed clerk, informed officers that she was alone and preparing to close when a male subject entered the premises. The suspect, wearing a large wig, a green jacket, and sunglasses, brandished a firearm, threatened the clerk, and demanded money.
The clerk complied with the suspect's demands, handing over an estimated $748. Despite a swift response from several Paris Officers, the suspect managed to escape on foot, and a subsequent search did not lead to his apprehension.
Police are actively investigating the incident and are currently reviewing surveillance footage in an effort to identify and locate the suspect. The victim provided a description of the assailant, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information related to the robbery to come forward.
