Paris Police Apprehend Fleeing Dirt Bike Rider After Crash and Foot Chase

In the early hours of Thursday morning at 12:13, a Paris Police officer initiated a stop on a dirt bike in the 2000 block of Lamar Avenue in Paris. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Jesse James West, continued to the 400 block of 24th SE, where he crashed the dirt bike. West then abandoned the bike and attempted to escape on foot, tossing a pipe commonly associated with marijuana or methamphetamine use into a nearby yard.

Law enforcement officers successfully apprehended West a few blocks away. He has been charged with Evading Arrest and Tampering with Evidence. The incident unfolded swiftly, resulting in the arrest of the individual involved.
