On December 19, 2023, at around 6:24 p.m., Longview Police Officers responded to a shooting incident at the Preserve Apartments, situated at 600 West Avalon Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered a juvenile male victim in the parking lot, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the victim to a local hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The Longview Police Department has classified the incident as an active investigation.
