On December 7, 2023, Texarkana Police Officers arrested 55 year old Bobby Jones for Sexual Assault.
The alleged assault occurred in late November when Jones visited the victim's apartment to carry out repairs. Jones was the maintenance man at the apartment complex. According to the victim, Jones began making unwanted sexual advances and forcibly assaulted her after she repeatedly refused.
Detective Harris, assigned to the case, facilitated Jones's arrest a few days later when he turned himself in at the police department. Jones was released from jail on the same day after posting bond of $40,000.
Authorities express concern that there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with pertinent information to contact Detective Harris at 903-798-3226. The investigation is ongoing.
