On December 6, 2023, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office "A Shift" responded to a report of suspicious persons on County Road 407. The caller alerted authorities that two individuals were entering a building and potentially engaging in theft.
Two sheriff units promptly arrived at the location and found the two suspects on County Road 407. During questioning, a deputy observed a suspected meth pipe protruding from the pants pocket of one of the individuals, identified as 23-year-old Antonio Guadalupe Quinones. Notably, Quinones was also in possession of copper wire, which he was seen wrapping around his arm upon the deputies' arrival.
Further investigation revealed that Quinones had an outstanding warrant for evading arrest, leading to his immediate apprehension. The second suspect, identified as 27-year-old Rosa Marlen Castillo-Martinez, was found with a backpack containing wire cutters and various tools.
Both Quinones and Castillo-Martinez were taken into custody and charged with burglary/theft.
