Titus County Sheriff’s Office Makes Arrests in Ongoing Theft Investigation

The Titus County Sheriff’s Office announced today that three individuals have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation spanning the past three months. The suspects voluntarily turned themselves in at the Sheriff’s Office earlier this morning and have been booked into the Titus County Jail, awaiting arraignment by a magistrate.

Diego Armando Mata, 35 years old, faces charges for engaging in organized criminal activity. The charges are related to an underlying theft of property valued equal to or greater than $30,000.00 and less than $150,000.00, constituting a Second Degree Felony. Additionally, Mata is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity connected to an underlying theft of property valued equal to or greater than $2,500.00 and less than $30,000.00, a Third Degree Felony.

Julio Ramirez, 43 years old, has been arrested on a warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity. The charges are linked to an underlying theft of property valued equal to or greater than $30,000.00 and less than $150,000.00, a Second Degree Felony.

Josue Fernandez, 28 years old, faces charges for engaging in organized criminal activity, connected to an underlying theft of property valued equal to or greater than $2,500.00 and less than $30,000.00, a Third Degree Felony.

The arrests are part of an ongoing effort by law enforcement to address thefts reported by the suspects' previous employer. The investigation is still in progress.
