A Wood County Sheriff Deputy responded to a reported physical disturbance on November 19, 2023, in the 100 block of County Road 2129 in Quitman. The caller, involved in a domestic dispute, informed authorities that a verbal argument with his daughter had escalated, resulting in physical violence against himself and his wife.
Kyla Dawn Phillips, identified as the daughter in question, was subsequently arrested by the Wood County Sheriff Deputy on charges of assault causing bodily injury. Phillips is alleged to have become physically aggressive towards her parents during the altercation.
Following her arrest, Kyla Dawn Phillips was taken into custody and her bond was set at $5,000.
