On November 17, 2023, a Wood County Sheriff Deputy responded to an accident on Hwy 154 following reports of a hit-and-run. The victim involved in the incident informed authorities that the responsible vehicle had fled the scene.
Following a investigation, deputies were able to identify the suspect as Delynn Skye Ballew of Celeste, TX. Subsequently, the Department of Public Safety located and arrested Ballew, charging her with failure to stop and render aid.
Ballew's bond was set at $1,000, and she is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings related to the charges.
