The Texarkana Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday night in the parking lot of McDonald's on New Boston Road.
Around 10:30 PM, authorities received a dispatch about a shooting at the fast-food restaurant. Upon arrival, they discovered a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg. Approximately 10 minutes later, a 21-year-old man arrived at the hospital with two gunshot wounds to the torso.
Preliminary information indicates that an altercation took place between the occupants of two vehicles, each carrying three individuals, while they were driving down the road. The situation escalated, leading both vehicles to pull into the McDonald's parking lot. Shortly after their arrival, gunfire erupted from at least one of the vehicles.
