On the night of November 13, 2023, Paris Police Officers responded to a complaint in the 1600 block of N. Main at 11:00 PM. The complaint alleged that Trequell Brown was on the property, despite having been previously ordered by management to stay away. Brown had an active Criminal Trespass Warning on file with the department.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers informed Brown of the violation and proceeded to take him into custody. However, Brown resisted arrest and managed to evade the pursuing officer briefly. Despite warnings to stop, Brown continued to resist, prompting the use of a Taser by the officer to subdue him.
Subsequently, Trequell Brown was charged with Criminal Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, and Evading Arrest. He is currently held in the Lamar County Jail, awaiting legal proceedings related to the alleged offenses.
