Sister of Alleged Double Murder Suspect in Upshur County Arrested for Aiding Escape

In a recent development, the sister of the suspect accused of murdering two women in Upshur County on November 4 has been apprehended for her alleged involvement in helping her brother evade capture. Laquesha Monique McKnight, 38, a resident of Longview, now faces charges of hindering the apprehension or prosecution of a known fugitive.

Laquesha McKnight is currently held in the Upshur County jail on a $500,000 bond. Meanwhile, her brother, 41-year-old Alvin Patrick McKnight, the prime suspect in the double murder case, remains at large. Authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of Capital Murder, emphasizing that he is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
