On Saturday, November 4, at 10:01 am, the Paris Dispatch received two calls alerting them to an incident in the 4000 block of SE Loop 286. An officer promptly responded to the scene and discovered a white female inside a vehicle, seemingly passed out in the driver's seat. After several attempts to wake her by knocking on the window went unanswered, the officer opened the unlocked door to investigate further.
Inside the vehicle, the officer discovered a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine on the floorboard. Following this discovery, they asked the occupant, identified as Dana Diane Dalby, 33, to exit the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a clear baggie containing a clear crystal substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine. Additionally, a small clear capsule containing half a pill was found, identified as Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone.
As a result of these findings, the officers arrested Dana Diane Dalby. She now faces charges for felony possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth and Class A possession of a Controlled Substance - Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone.
