On October 28, 2023, Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Shift “D” observed a suspicious vehicle sitting stationary in a church parking lot near the Pirtle Community in Rusk County, Texas.
Further investigation led to the discovery of a twenty-year-old male identified as Aaron Ables of Hughes Springs, Texas, and a juvenile in the rear seat of the vehicle. Age of juvenile was not provided.
Evidence discovered during the investigation resulted in Ables being taken into custody and transported to the Rusk County Jail where he was charged with the criminal offense of Sexual Assault of a Child, Felony 2, and received a bond of $60,000.
