On Sunday morning, October 29, 2023, at approximately 5:35 AM, Paris Police officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered the windows of a local business had been broken.
During their investigation, officers encountered an individual later identified as Trinity Glen Gilbert, who was located not far from the scene. Gilbert displayed signs of intoxication and was behaving disruptively. He subsequently became confrontational with the officers and attempted to flee on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, the officers successfully apprehended Gilbert. Video footage from the incident revealed that he had deliberately damaged the business's windows, confirming the reason for the initial call.
In light of these actions, the police charged Gilbert with multiple offenses, including Public Intoxication, Evading Arrest, and Criminal Mischief.
