In a morning incident on September 29, 2023, local police successfully captured a suspect, Kyrese Brayjuhn Moore, after a chase that ensued following a routine traffic stop.
At approximately 11:03 AM, officers stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Clarksville due to a traffic violation. Moore, the driver, abandoned his vehicle near a business in the area and attempted to flee on foot, carrying a shoulder bag. Pursuing officers trailed Moore through the neighborhood until he was eventually located and apprehended beneath a house in the 500 block of SE 17th.
During the pursuit, Moore discarded the shoulder bag, which was later found in a nearby dumpster. Upon inspection, it was revealed that the bag contained marijuana, neatly packaged for resale. Moore now faces multiple charges, including Evading Arrest, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Marijuana over two ounces, and Criminal Trespassing, as the location of his arrest was private property marked with no trespassing signs.
