Wood County Sheriff’s Office Incidents September 13-19

September 13

  • Corporal Croney responded to a report of a donkey loose on County Road 1900 and successfully returned the animals to their pasture.
  • Sgt. Morrison conducted a warrant service at Adult Probation, resulting in the arrest of Michael Fletcher for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies Rich and Cato investigated an open door report in Holly Lake Ranch but found no one inside.

September 14

  • Deputy Pollard spotted a wanted subject's vehicle and arrested Tammy Crow, who had an active warrant.
  • Sgt. Morrison and Quitman PD performed a warrant service in Quitman, leading to the arrest of Maxwell Lee for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputy Pollard responded to a fraud call where the victim reported a scam involving a fake Powerball Lottery prize.
  • Corporal Croney transported an inmate for Mineola PD.
  • Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, and Deputy Cato responded to a fight at Lake Hawkins, but the subjects had fled upon their arrival.

September 15

  • Deputy Kovic responded to a criminal mischief report on Hwy 37, where the property owner suspected a neighbor of throwing rocks at his residence.
  • Corporal Baldwin was dispatched to an assault at Jarvis School, where a student had allegedly violated an agreement and taunted the victim.
  • Lt. Milbourn and Deputy Kovic responded to a disturbance in Yantis, resulting in the arrest of Layne Glenn for assault, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
  • Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Cox, and Corporal Rapp responded to an assault in Mineola, but after an investigation, Sabrina McDowell was arrested for assault as the aggressor.
  • Sgt. Mayer and Deputy Comeaux were dispatched to a disturbance on FM 515 involving an ex-husband and the victim.

September 16

  • Sgt. Cox was notified of two burglaries at Dollar General stores in Van Zandt County, but Wood County stores were unaffected.
  • Corporal Rapp responded to an assault on County Road 1688.
  • Sgt. Mayer, Corporal Burdick, and Deputy Kovic responded to a wreck in Yantis where EMS transported three people.
  • Deputy Rapp was dispatched to a burglary on FM 778, where a truck was stolen, and a cellar was broken into.
  • Sgt. Mayer, Corporal Burdick, and Deputy Haley responded to a disturbance at Lake Winnsboro involving intoxicated individuals.
  • Deputy Haley responded to a suspicious person on FM 515 and ran off a male who claimed to have a flat tire.
  • Corporal Burdick and Deputy Haley conducted a traffic stop and arrested Kirstin Ramirez, who was wanted and refused to identify herself.

September 17

  • Sgt. Cox responded to a welfare check on County Road 2264, and EMS attended to the patient while APS was notified.
  • Deputy Skinner responded to an animal welfare check on FM 49 regarding cows in poor condition.
  • Corporal Burdick and Deputy Haley were dispatched to a theft on Hwy 154.
  • Corporal Burdick and Deputy Haley also responded to a criminal mischief report in Holiday Village where a vehicle had collided with a gate.

September 18

  • Deputy Pollard performed a warrant service at Adult Probation and arrested Marc Baker for an outstanding warrant.
  • Corporal Smith and Deputy Way responded to an armed subject on Hwy 37, resulting in the arrest of Charles Patterson for terroristic threats.
  • Deputies responded to a major vehicle accident on Hwy 154.

September 19

  • Deputy Cato responded to a report of suspicious activity on County Road 3470, involving individuals beating on walls and yelling. Subjects left before deputies' arrival.
  • Sgt. Williams, Corporal Smith, and Deputy Rich responded to a suicidal subject on Hwy 154, who was care flighted for treatment after becoming aggressive towards deputies.
  • Deputies responded to a welfare check, but the patient was not found inside the residence as APS had picked her up earlier, and she was hiding inside the house.
