JASPER COUNTY, Texas - A 20-year-old Jasper woman has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary investigation that led to the recovery of stolen firearms, according to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded May 17 to a reported burglary at a residence south of Kirbyville after the homeowner returned and discovered someone had entered the home and stolen firearms and other property.
Investigators said a neighbor reported seeing a vehicle traveling to and from the residence before the homeowner arrived home.
Jasper County investigators later identified 20-year-old Julia Lowery of Jasper as a suspect in the case.
Authorities said the investigation resulted in the recovery of the stolen firearms.
On May 22, investigators arrested Lowery and charged her with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony.
Lowery was booked into the Jasper County Jail.
Officials noted that she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
