Greenville ISD VEX Robotics Teams Shine at State Competitions

GREENVILLE, Texas — Students from Greenville Independent School District capped off a successful VEX Robotics season with strong performances at state competitions, highlighting growth across all grade levels.

A total of 10 teams from across the district qualified for state this year, representing elementary, intermediate, middle school and high school campuses. Each team advanced through competitive events that tested problem-solving, teamwork and technical skills.

In the VEX Robotics program, students design, build and program robots to complete increasingly complex challenges. As they move through grade levels, those challenges require greater precision, strategy and collaboration.

Middle school students were represented by five teams — 2148G, 2148S, 2148T, 2148X and 2148Z — competing in more advanced design and programming challenges.

At the high school level, teams 4148B and 4148S competed against top programs from across Texas, continuing to build on the district’s growing robotics presence.

District officials said the success of the teams reflects the continued expansion of Greenville ISD’s robotics program and its focus on hands-on learning opportunities. Through competition, students gain experience in engineering, coding and teamwork while developing skills that extend beyond the classroom.

As the season concludes, the district is recognizing the dedication of its student competitors and looking ahead to continued growth in future competitions.
