Repeat Offender Sentenced to 25 Years for Meth Delivery in Henderson County

Erick Charles Sevick Jr.

ATHENS, Texas — A Henderson County man with a lengthy criminal history has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance.

Erick Charles Sevick Jr. was sentenced by 392nd District Court Judge Scott McKee to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Assistant District Attorney Jessica Bargmann prosecuted the case.

Sevick was on parole at the time of his arrest, serving supervision for a previous 22-year prison sentence for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Court records show he also previously served prison time for Burglary of a Habitation and Accident Involving Injury, along with multiple misdemeanor convictions.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators J. Daille and J. Bonner arrested Sevick after he was found in possession of more than 30 grams of methamphetamine.

The Henderson County District Attorney’s Office said the sentence reflects the seriousness of the offense and Sevick’s repeat criminal conduct.
