Temple Man Arrested in Bell County Drug Bust; Multiple Drugs and Firearms Seized

Temple, TX – On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group executed a search warrant at a residence in Temple as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales.

During the search, deputies seized a variety of controlled substances, including psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, fentanyl, methamphetamine, prescription medications, THC products, and marijuana in multiple forms. Authorities also recovered United States currency and several firearms, including one rifle and three semi-automatic handguns.

Jason Hays, a resident of Temple, was arrested during the operation and booked into the Bell County Jail. The Bell County District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of possession of marijuana under five pounds in a drug-free zone against Hays.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about individuals distributing controlled substances in the area to contact Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and informants may be eligible for a reward.
