On Friday, July 11th, Paris Police responded to a reported burglary at a residence in the 10-block of NW 27th Street. The homeowner, who had been hospitalized for two months, arrived to find his home had been broken into and several items stolen.
According to the victim, entry was made through the front door. Missing property included prescription medication, two lawnmowers, an electric chainsaw, a television, a Coleman mini-bike, and a 1999 Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycle.
The victim told officers he knew who had taken the mini-bike. Police located and interviewed the suspect, who admitted to taking it. The rest of the stolen items remain unaccounted for.
The investigation is ongoing.
