A business alarm and quick police response led to the arrest of a suspect fleeing a burglary scene in Longview early this morning, June 16, 2025.
At approximately 4:57 AM, Longview Police Officers were dispatched to a business alarm in the 2100 block of Judson Road. Upon arrival, officers observed signs of forced entry and saw a suspect fleeing on foot. Officers quickly located the individual a short distance from the business.
After a brief investigation, 57-year-old Glen Blaylock of Longview was taken into custody and arrested for Burglary of a Building, a State Jail Felony.
This incident underscores the importance of properly functioning alarm systems in aiding law enforcement. Police highlighted that by reducing false alarms, they can improve response times to priority calls, as demonstrated in this case where the alarm's timely activation enabled a rapid response, helping to prevent further loss or damage.
