Hunt County deputies took custody Thursday, June 12th, of 58-year-old Anna Marie Wilson of Dallas, who was transferred from the Dallas County Jail to face charges stemming from multiple fraud, theft, and drug offenses.
Wilson’s Hunt County charges originate from a January 3, 2023, arrest, where she was booked on fraud, theft, and drug-related offenses. At the time, she also had an open warrant from Collin County for Theft of Property with two or more previous convictions. Her bond for the fraud charge in Hunt County was denied after she was found in possession of stolen identification, while bond for her remaining charges was set at $430,000.
Wilson was later transferred to the Collin County Sheriff's Office to face charges there and subsequently bonded out of the Collin County Jail. She was scheduled to appear in Hunt County court on May 23, 2024, but failed to appear, resulting in a warrant issued by the 354th District Court for Failure to Appear.
On June 25, 2024, Dallas Police arrested Wilson for stealing cell phones from two victims and stealing the identity of a third. Her charges were enhanced in Dallas County due to prior convictions for Aggravated Robbery and Burglary of a Habitation. She accepted a plea deal with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, pleaded guilty, and received an eight-year prison sentence. Dallas County authorities denied her release to Hunt County until her Dallas case was resolved.
With her Dallas County sentence now addressed, Wilson has been transferred to Hunt County to face her outstanding charges. Her arraignment hearing is scheduled for July 7th. She also faces a pending theft case in Young County.
