In a disturbing incident on Tuesday afternoon, October 3, 2023, Paris Police officers responded to a call reporting a disturbance in the 1700 block of Hubbard in Paris, TX. The call came in at 2:47 PM, alerting the authorities that a spouse had thrown knives and injured the victim's arm.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the victim and the suspect, identified as Monica Monique Armstrong, had been involved in a heated altercation. During the dispute, Armstrong had allegedly thrown not only knives but also scissors and various other objects at the victim.
Fearing the potential for further violence, the officers took immediate action. They arrested Armstrong on charges of Aggravated Assault on a Family Member with a Deadly Weapon. Following the arrest, Armstrong was transported to the Lamar County Jail, where she awaits legal proceedings related to the incident.
