Rowlett Police Arrest Suspect in November Shooting After Search Warrant in Fate

Dwyane Green Jr.

ROWLETT, Texas - On Thursday, December 4, 2025, officers from the Rowlett Police Department, working with the Rockwall Police Department, carried out a search warrant at a home in the one hundred block of Stevenson Drive in Fate. The operation was part of an investigation into a shooting that took place on November 8 at Isaac Scruggs Park in Rowlett.

Detectives had been working the case for several weeks and were able to identify a suspect through witness statements, investigative leads, and help from Shaun Rabb and FOX 4’s Trackdown segment. Their work led them to Dwyane Green Jr., a nineteen-year-old resident of Fate.

Investigators secured both an arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a search warrant for Green’s residence. The Rowlett Police Department SWAT Team, alongside the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, moved in on Thursday to serve both warrants.

Green was taken into custody without any resistance and transported to the Rowlett Police Department for processing. Officers say no one was injured during the operation, including officers, bystanders, or those inside the residence.

The department noted that the investigation remains active and that detectives will continue following every lead until the case is resolved.
