Wills Point Man Arrested on Intoxication Manslaughter Charges in 2024 Fatal Crash

Christopher Toledo

A Wills Point man has been arrested in connection with a deadly wrong-way crash that occurred last year in Hunt County.

On Wednesday, November 12, Christopher Toledo, of Wills Point, was booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on three open warrants, two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle and one count of Intoxication Assault with Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

Toledo had previously been arrested and charged with DWI following the crash. After an extensive investigation, authorities upgraded the charges, leading to the recent warrants.

The crash happened in the early morning hours of September 7, 2024, near Greenville, when an Isuzu Rodeo traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-30 collided head-on with a Nissan Altima carrying three passengers.

All three victims were transported to Medical City of Plano with severe injuries. One of them, 30-year-old Kevin Lynn Spraggins Jr. of Celeste, later died from his injuries.
