LONGVIEW, TX - Harrison County deputies arrested a man Thursday after a disturbance call in Longview turned into a short foot chase and property damage incident.
On October 30, a complainant contacted the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, reporting that her best friend’s boyfriend had shown up uninvited and refused to leave. While deputies were en route, dispatch advised that the man had tried to take the woman’s phone and had gotten his car stuck in a nearby pasture before leaving the scene on foot.
Deputies later encountered the suspect, who attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. He was identified as 43-year-old Christopher Lee Pryor.
While being transported to the Harrison County Jail, Pryor reportedly stripped off his clothes and caused significant damage to the patrol vehicle, including destroying both rear doors and the in-car camera system.
He was booked into the Harrison County Jail on charges of criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief causing damage between $2,500 and $30,000.
