The Paris Police Department has issued an update into the fatal accident that occurred early Friday morning on September 29, 2023 in the 3900 of block of Lamar Avenue.
In that incident, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the entrance-exit driveway of Applebee's.
Police officials have identified the victim as 81-year-old Ismael Claudio Moreno of Paris. Moreno passed away at Paris Regional Health on October 1, 2023.
The suspect has been identified as 59-year-old Rodney Sherman Willis of Paris and was arrested on October 2, 2023. Willis is charged with Accident Involving Death with a bond set at $50,000.
